The first step is to email us at timothyjohnsalon@gmail.com with your date and we will send you a bridal questionnaire and respond to you within 1 week. Please read through all our FAQ's section and look over our pricing. If your date is available, we will collect a $100 deposit to reserve your wedding date. The deposit is returned to you in cash the morning of your wedding.
We have three options!
You can either stop by the salon and pay by card, cash or check.
You can call and pay over the phone with a credit card
We can email you an invoice that you can pay online through Square.
Not to worry, we know how wedding planning goes! We like to have a general idea when you first inquire and when we send out our questionnaire. We typically can't accomodate many more services than you orgianlly said in the questionnaire. We have a large team of wedding stylists, so we usually have multiple weddings booked a day, making it diffucult to add on a handful of services close to the wedding date. We suggest rounding up on numbers instead of down when you first reach out. Headcounts need to be finalized 100 days out, which is when we will reach back out to get final numbers.
Yes, we love coming on site! We do not charge a set travel fee however, our on location services are $10 more when we come to you. A four person minimum is required for us to travel. (If you want hair, we ask that it be a minimum of 4 people for hair services and if you want makeup we ask that it's a minimum of 4 people for makeup services.) Gratuity is not included in base pricing you see listed, but all on location weddings will have an automatic 20% gratuity added for all services - this will be seen on your final invoice. We travel around 30 minutes from the salon. Many factors go into if we can come to you on your wedding day.
*We have certain blackout dates every year. On Satudays in December before Christmas, we are unable to go onsite but would love to see your party in salon!
We have recently decided to stop offering airbrush. There is no right or wrong, some artists feel passionately about how much they love airbrush. It's completely a preference thing for us. We are certified and very knowledgeable in airbrush, and have had it as an option for the last ten years. However, we always would talk our brides and makeup clients out of airbrush. In our opinion, it truly looks flawless on about 10% of people. If you have texture, fine lines, peach fuzz, acne or scars-we feel like it enhances all of those things. When we have done airbrush, we were never fully happy with the final results and now choose to no longer offer it as an option.
Keep in mind that Airbrushing is a technique, NOT an overall finish. We don't find it lasts longer, looks any more flawless, or transfers any less. We encourage all our brides who have their hearts set on airbrush to get a trial with an artist who offers it, and then come for a trial with us. Compare photos, longevity, overall look and pick whats best for you!
In salon we accept cash, check and credit cards.
For on location, we will send you an invoice of your total bill before your wedding day and you can pay over the phone by card, online or bring in cash or a check.
For in salon wedding parties, yes we do. Each person can pay individually or we can split up services in groups or however you would like.
For on location wedding parties, no- all payments by party members need to be collected by the Bride. We accept only one FULL payment of the total invoiced amount, this is due the day of the wedding or a few days before.
No, gratuity is not included in base pricing you see listed on our website. All on location weddings will have an automatic 20% gratuity added for all services - this will be seen on your final invoice.
We highly suggest them! We always think a trial is very helpful for the bride and stylist. It's a great opportunity to get to know the stylist and try out your ideas. We encourage you to bring photos of styles you like and any hair accessories you will be wearing for the wedding.
We suggest coming in for a trial run 2-6 weeks before your wedding day. We have many brides that book their trial run on the day of bridal showers, a dress fitting or the bachlorette party. We suggest scheduling your trial appoinment months out because our avalibilty, espically on Saturdays, gets booked far in advanced.
We allow 45 minutes for each hair and makeup service for the bridal party. We book an hour for the brides hair. All trial runs are scheduled for an hour and a half so plenty of time is given to try different looks. We create a timeline the week before your wedding and send it via email for you to look over. If any switches on appointment times need to be made, we do them the week before.
Great question! The short answer is no. We charge a set "formal styling" price for all wedding hair we do. Curls only typically takes just as long, if not longer than an updo. The Bridal style is $10 more because we spend extra time making sure its absolutely perfect :)
We will do additional services only if the time permits. Typically we are booked for the day and have to stick to the original appointments booked to stay on time for every guest.
Absolutley!
Depending on your hair type (you know your hair best) all we ask if that you have clean DRY hair. No wet hair please! If your hair gets greasy easily, then we would recommend washing it the day of. Our time frame does not allow for us to dry and style your hair unless we agree upon that prior to the wedding day. If we need to dry your hair prior to styling, an additional $25 service fee will be added. A team memeber will communicate that with you before the service is performed.
-We recommend coming in the week before your wedding day for an eye brow wax. This will ensure an even makeup application and that your brows look fab the day of!
-If you are a girl that gets hair color, we suggest doing this the week before.
-Typically we recommend washing your hair the night before. But you know your hair best! So if it get greasy quickly, washing it the day of you're wedding might be a better option. We have plently of product to get the texture we need for your hair to look great all day.
-The day of, every person receiving a makeup service should have a clean, moisturized face.
-All hair should be completley dry.
We recommend you book your spray tan 2 days prior to your event or whenever you are wanting a glow!
